Julia Stones

Julia has over 20 years’ experience in the HR and talent management sectors in the UK and relocated to New Zealand in early 2005. Offshore experience includes leading a number of talent management businesses and HR consultancies as Director and shareholder, as well as being responsible for the UK operations of a global strategic talent management organisation which provided onsite and offsite outsourced recruitment solutions for international blue chip organisations.

Julia was an active member of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) and member of the Advisory Panel. She chaired the national Employment Policy Committee which lobbied and liaised with Government on proposed employment legislation in the UK.

Since arriving in New Zealand Julia has focused on HR and public sector consultancy in Auckland. She joined Sheffield in August 2006 to initially focus on the HR and public sector portfolios and was appointed Manager of the Recruitment Solutions team in July 2007. Appointed Principal of Sheffield’s Search and Selection practice in April 2009, Julia specialised in senior HR and OD roles as well as recruiting senior management roles across all sectors but in particular, professional services. Additionally Julia was responsible for leading Sheffield’s career transition programme.

Julia joined HR2GO, owned by Teesdale Associates, as Principal in April 2012 to build a full service HR consultancy across New Zealand.

Elected Associate Fellow of the Human Resources Institute of New Zealand (HRINZ) in 2011 and founder member of the Recruitment Special Interest Group in Auckland. Julia was on the Auckland branch committee for five years, elected President of the Auckland branch in 2009, appointed Director of the HRINZ Board 2010 & 2011, elected Director of the HRINZ National Board in 2012 and elected national Vice President in 2013. In addition to this Julia has represented the Asia Pacific Federation of Human Resource Management (APFHRM) on behalf of HRINZ as a Director, responsible for leading a workstream to establish a competency framework for the Federation.

Starting her career as a generalist, the depth of her experience has developed over the 13+ years due to the range of roles held (generalist & specialist) and projects completed. Over her career, Belinda has implemented solutions in areas of Talent Management, Strategic Sourcing, Employment Branding, Values & Vision & Strategic Remuneration.

Belinda is now an independent contractor/consultant and works closely with HR2Go helping to deliver solution-based results for its clients. Belinda offers a speciality in the understanding and measuring HR’s impact on business performance. Belinda has a strong passion for making sure that Human Resource activity and its output is aligned to business performance. The value Belinda brings to the table is her strong understanding of how business works and her ability to deliver people based solutions that contribute to sustainable growth, at a strategic and operational level.

Belinda has previously been an active committee member on the HRINZ Auckland Branch (2010-2011) and continues to be a passionate advocate for the Human Resource profession.

Matt ChipperMatt Chipper13

An experienced and adaptable Organisational Development and Change Director with a strong background in Human Resource Management; Matthew has over one decade‘s professional experience and an academic background in Organisational Psychology (A- GPA).

He has led and contributed to large scale culture change projects ranging from a two year European post as OD Manager in easyJet, leading the talent development programme for Muller Dairy (the UK’s largest privately owned dairy company) to the establishment and leadership of the OD/L&D team within Close Brothers Asset Management, one of the largest private banks in the United Kingdom.

Matthew has an academic background in organisational psychology, and is level A and B qualified in a range of psychometric assessment tools. He has also worked extensively as an executive coach and is grateful to have had the opportunity to attain level II coaching qualifications through Performance Coaching International; with tutelage from Sir John Whitmore, arguably the world’s pre-eminent leader in this field.

 

David WhitakerDavid Whitaker

David has operated as an HR/recruitment practitioner for over 20 years and is a fully accredited professional member of the Human Resources Institute of New Zealand (HRINZ). He’s worked in a variety of sectors including airports, commodities, telecoms and the oil and gas sector in New Zealand, UK and Asia Pacific.

He has a passion for identifying talented people for organisations and especially in ensuring that they have the right mix of skills and experiences to ensure a perfect fit with an organisation’s business strategy and values.

Coming from within a corporate HR and recruitment background David has a unique understanding of the functions and roles within organisations and the business drivers that lead to their creation and adaptation.

He is therefore able to truly partner his clients and offer an insiders as well as external perspective on the recruitment process.
